Senior IT Compliance Analyst

BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior IT Compliance Analyst is responsible for performing daily audit processes, creating IT Compliance documentation, investigating IT Compliance issues, resolving any exceptions noted and assisting the IT Compliance Manager. This position involves the ongoing evaluation of the IT internal control environment and risk profile. Where necessary, identification of control enhancements, modifications and improvement in documentation standards should be recommended to embrace good business practices and compliance, and to improve the overall risk profile of the IT Department.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in either IT related or business releated discipline such as information systems/technology, computer science, audit, analytics, or business administration (for business related degrees, some formal training or experience in information systems/technology or related areas is required).
4-6 years of experience in the area of IT compliance/audit. Strong background in system development lifecycle, Change Management, Information Security, and SOX.
HealthCare experience is preferred.
Knowledge of HITRUST Common Security Framework preferred.
Strong understanding of basic General Computer Controls across all of IT.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization including, management, audit functions, team leader/department supervisors and co-workers.
Ability to communicate effectively with external parties, including third-party consultants and External Auditors.
Strong understanding of the role of IT within an organization.
Demonstrated knowledge of information technology techniques and tools.
Excellent interpersonal skills including excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to create process and procedures for the IT Compliance Department and provide guidance on IT policies, process and procedures.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office products, including Excel Pivot tables, Visio and Access.

BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY

The Louisiana Legislative Auditor is currently looking for IT Audit Professionals in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Individuals with a working knowledge of IT Auditing techniques, IT criteria and standards on good practices, and other technical matters, as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) are required. The IT Auditor must be able to analyze complex systems, derive logical conclusions and be able to present them in a non-technical form that is useful to professional Financial Auditors in assessing their audit control risk. This position requires adequate word processing, spreadsheet, data extraction and reporting. The IT Audit position will also require significant interviewing and personal interface abilities.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with at least 6 hours of Accounting, or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting plus courses related to computer science.
