Internal Auditor – Amedisys, Inc.

Amedisys Home Health Services is recruiting for an Internal Auditor in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Amedisys is a leading provider of home health services and currently trades on The Nasdaq Market under the symbol “AMED”. The ideal candidate will be energetic, a self-starter and adaptable to change.  The candidate must display teamwork, integrity and support the Company’s core values.

Responsibilities:

Work with a high-growth, fast-paced company.  Perform financial, operational and information technology audits, in addition to, consulting tasks and special projects.

Utilize technology and tools to continually learn and innovate, share knowledge with team members and enhance service delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related or technology-related field such as accounting, finance, information systems or internal audit.

• Current certification as a CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) preferred but not required. 

• Minimum of two years experience in Internal Audit or Public Accounting.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to communicate effectively with audit management, co-workers and department supervisors.

• Strong technical skills.  Technical proficiency in the use of ACL software a plus. 

• Knowledge of the Standards of Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Institute of Internal Auditors’ Code of Ethics and Practice Advisories for Assurance and Consulting Services.

• Ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization. 

• Available for 10-20% of travel depending on business needs.
